One-to-One

Are there a few drivers in your Fleet who need extra instruction? On the street, one-to-one training is the most efficient and effective way to get results and improvement, one driver at a time. SWERVE expert instructors will “ride-along” on your driver’s regular route, evaluate the driver’s performance and develop a tailored set of recommendations for success, designed to meet the unique challenges faced by each driver. top

Collision Avoidance Training

This puts your drivers in real-life driving simulations in a safe and controlled environment. SWERVE sets up a course designed to mimic situations drivers encounter on the roads. The day begins with a presentation to go over awareness-building and traffic skills, vehicle control skills and mental skills. Then, drivers hit the course for real-time practice in reversing/backing, slalom/braking, emergency braking, brake-on-turn, and collision avoidance. top

Classroom

Most incidents involving experienced drivers are caused by a lack of awareness. SWERVE staff will conduct Safety Talks designed for your organization’s unique mission, with the goal of challenging your employees to constantly strive to be better, safer, and less incident-prone – in short, to be better drivers.

  • Topics covered:

  • Awareness – Help employees become more aware of the driving task, and instill an “I care” attitude about driving well.

  • Responsibility – Help employees understand changing risk levels, and develop a sense of responsibility and advocacy for safe driving.

  • Misconceptions – Dispel common myths about driving, and update drivers on the latest laws and regulations relevant to their jobs.

  • Street Survival – Equip employees with specific techniques to help them “survive” today’s hectic driving environment.

  • Seasonal – Prepare employees for facing and overcoming driving challenges during each season.

  • Mental – Provide employees with specific techniques for “switching on” their brains that will equip them for success not just driving, but in all aspects of their jobs. top
